Hi, I work on electronic repairs (pcb smd) and do technical support to a local association timekeepers.
I have here two timy pxe, both working perfectly, but one is at fault for not charging the battery. For testing I used the original ps12a power supply and the battery pack is specific (Sanyo). This Timy not loading has been for a long time without power. I would not think this has changed the settings in the hardware menu to which I can not access. I deleted the data and reported the factory settings. I also updated the firmware from 1322 to 1441, and synchronized time using the mouse gps. All this without problems, but the battery does not charge.
I then switched the Timy-power cards and saw that the timy-cpu card that does not charge the driver. I noticed only a short pulse of charge at startup, when I insert the plug of power supply.
The voltage values in the info screen (2nd + menu) are identical.
All this indicates a software problem.
I look forward to your advice.

So how old are these units?

Do they display memory in the 5000-6000 range on startup? If so they are generation 1 TIMY from 2002-2003

The only solution with these is to send them back to ALGE to be repaired.

14 years is a pretty good run and these timers owe the owners nothing. Be prepared to take the printers off and buy new TIMY3 W and swap parts.
I made an attempt, but nothing changes. The 4-pin DIN plug is connected directly to the central pin of the other connector.
I also tried swapping the Timy-power cards, but it is always the cpu that does not enable charging. Timy on-cpu board I also redid the connector seals and replaced the integrated piloting the charge. For me it's easy because it's my job. Here the problem is software
