We are a Youth Ski League with some mountains using Tag 520 and others using Alge S-4 timers. Are the Alge STSnM2s start gates compatible with Tag systems? Can voice communications still be used with the Tag adapters?

An interesting question. I do not see why not. All brands use similar concepts for their amps.
Use an ALGE SV4 amp with the banana plug "pass through" double sockets.
Start gate into hill wire, hill wire into amp, banana plug pair into CP520 input 1.
Just maintain proper polarity and you should be fine. Comm will cut out when gate is open I think.
Please let the owners of the TAG CP520 that we have a special high value trade in option for them right now.

Well, I think 3 pairs are needed for complete isolation of the a and b start-----but this is for a perfect world.
Please let the mountains using TAG CP520 timers that there is a closing window for trading these timers in. Their FIS homologation expires in 2016.
