Timy and USB/Serial adaptor

I use Usb for printers and other stuff, but not for timing.

Thanks for the reply on the Serial port adaptor. I found one and tried it. It works fine and when using the CO and C1 ports for start and finish gives times and TOD the same from the Timy to Split second. However the problem I had with delayed times is coming from the use of the Green Start and Red Finish buttons on the Timy. When using these there is a difference of .02-.03 sec. I suspect that the buttons on top are not wired into the Timy directly and will post different times. I have not tried the USB adaptor with the C0 C1 outputs yet, but will report the results of that test as well

The buttons also do not use full precision. They are only capable of 10th of a second resolution. Perhaps this is causing your issue as well.

Try making a shorting jumper out of a bent paper clip and using it to give impulses to the C0 and C1 inputs.
