TIMING WORKSHOP
Saturday, November 5
9 am - 4 pm
Green Mountain Valley School
q Hands on race simulation for new and inexperienced race timers and administrators.
q This will be a hands on participatory race-simulation. We will go through all of the basic procedures for entering racers into the software, setting up timing equipment, running the race, dealing with typical problems and finally generating results and the proper paperwork.
q This clinic will focus on the basics, it is designed to meet the needs of the least experienced timers and administrators. It is not designed to replace the clinic at Killington on October 29th.
Participants should plan on bringing: A laptop with Split Second software installed, with a paid license and dongle. One timer that they intend to use during the year. One set of finish eyes. One start-box. Batteries and cables to make everything work and talk to each other. (There will be equipment for people to use during the day, but you will get more out of the clinic if you bring and use your own equipment.)
q All participants are encouraged to contact David Iverson well ahead of time with questions about what equipment they need to bring.
q There will be no cost for this clinic. And, there will be no meal provided. Please bring your own lunch.
Please RSVP and direct any questions to diverson@gmvs.org.
