Thunderbird Show Park in Langley BC just acquired a spiffy new Daktronics Galaxy board with a Daktronics Venus 1500 controller. The Skunkware Showjump32 software solution runs their board, supplies real-time information to their PA and TV commentators, and generates results in PDF and HTML for their web site.

Thunderbird is moving their pre-existing GAZ displays into their warmup ring, and will continue to use their pre-existing ALGE S4 and ALGE wireless telesignals.

Galaxy is Daktronics' latest LED technology. The Venus 1500 controller isn't particularly well-suited for real-time clock applications, but Daktronics recently upgraded the capabilities of the Galaxy so that a real-time clock can now be RTDed onto the board via ethernet.
