One of the cool new features is the ability to have a live "data logging" printer connected to the PC while timing. You can either use a Seiko DPU 414, 411, or ALGE P5 for this application. You will need a discrete serial port and a printer set for 9600,n,8,1.

This is very helpful if you are trying to quickly find a time that may be is question and needs to be verified. Also an announcer who may be unable to keep up with a live screen can use this to speak at their own pace.
