We just used all the snowboard features at the USCSA National Championships this last week with live-timing. It really helped a lot..thanks for your work!
I've got lots of questions and some suggestions after using it. Just a few off the top of my head...
1) Which keypads could be used so that judges of SS and HP could input scores? We had to copy them from paper...
2) Could the BX automatically build the 1st round of heats in proper seed order based on qualification times?
3) Allow SS, HP and BX features also to be listed under 'Skiing'. Or possibly have a switch discipline feature like the Ctrl+S switch gender feature?

I'm sure I'll have more...especially after I play with it this summer. I just finished my masters in Computer Science myself and was thinking about starting my own snowboard suite when i discovered the hidden snowboard features of split second!
Out of curiosity, what software and hardware do they use to run big SS, HP, BX ..etc events like the x-games and FIS events?
Thanks again!

Bill,

The Summit Systems SRT wireless judges units will interface with the National/FIS.

Next season in the National/FIS software the SBX first round brackets will populate in the correct order from qualifing times by FIS specs.

We have used this software/keypad system at many upper level events like the FIS Nor-Ams, U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix and the Burton U.S. Open.
Geoff has been great about gradually building components of the software out over the last few months. Most of the items that you request are on my list of wants too, but it will depend on USSA's programming budget.

Having used the software for the last 5 years, it is so much more improved than it was in, even, January!

Thank you Geoff!

BTW, if you are looking for Freestyle Alpine scoring, check out WinFree which is utilized by the alpine world.
