The only logical thing to do is to send it back to Time Tech and have them test it. They can download
Split Second and see if it works there.

You want want to take a look at your port settings before sending it back. Specially the baud rate. You can also try using Hyper terminal to monitor you port while you try to send info from the timer. If you can't see anything the problem is with the timer or the port itself and if you see something at all then your settings are wrong
