REI 2/ RACETIME 2 works with software in either wired or wireless modes

The Microgate timers use intergrated wireless radio data transfer. SST National/FIS, Club, and NASTAR all work either wired, wireless or a combination of both. TT*ware is also configured for these different modes.

Is this wireless through LAN IP? Is there a serial to wireless adapter? How is the wireless data sent to the computer?
