Yesterday, at out final indoor meeting, we were faced some stange problems with our RadioLynx system.
It happens some times, that the clock was started, when the starte was raising the arm with the gun.
We then ask him to resend the startsignal - but there was no signal when the gun was fired.
In a break, we found, that the cable, which connects the gun sensor with the RadioLynx, was solded into the banana-plugs.
And at the end of the solded wire, it was broken: about 1 inch within the isolation...
So we cut the wire and connected the open ends with the RadioLynx, secured it with some duck tape and the rest of the meet, everthing worked as it should.
In my experience, I found that screwed wires (like at these banana-plugs) should NEVER be solded.
So I will replace this cable with a proper build...
