www.cjtiming.comis using a 1/4 x 20 thread bracket normally used for TAG cells. They have put a reducer bushing into the PR1a to bring it down to 1/4 x 20. An ALGE RLS1n would have been too heavy to have allowed this type of application.
Timing professionals such as CJ Timing can also appreciate that they only need to stock ONE type of cell. The PR1a is triple purpose:
Reflector cell on Normal setting
Transmitter cell on TX setting
Receiver cell on RX setting
The FIS finish line configuration uses 4 identical cells with a "SYNC" cable at the transmitter side to complete the set.
