Losing connection, how to reset?

I am trying to upload competitors and start lists and after the competitors upload it freezes on the start list and will not reconnect, is there a way to force the connection without shutting down split second? I have the most current version of the club software and have a wired internet connection. Other internet functions continue to work, so it is not a network problem.
