You can sync as many timers as you want in cascade. You can also connect as many as you like photocells to a single timer. To do this you must connect the photocells in cascade mode and the last to the timer.
The whole kit (photocells and chrono) needs 8 AA rechargeables batteries. The battery life is above 40 hours.
The system is actually used in professionals downhill mountain bike races in Argentina.
