I have a problem with my gaz display. The most puzzling aspect is that the issue does not appear every time.
We use the display as a count up timer to show race time, the switch is set to 15, we are using the internal battery, and we start the clock by using the babana jacks.
The symptom of the problem is that the clock appears to not have started; however, the clock has started and is only showing a split time of "0" if you short the leads again the clock will resume counting at the proper interval.
We have tried changing wires with no success, we have used both automatic and manual methods to try and start the clock, with no obvious change to the symptoms.
The only things that I can think of that could be causing the problem are either:
- flaky batteries (how long do they last?, can I change them?)
- bad connection inside the display?
- bad circuit board?
Can anyone provide some guidance?
Thanks, John
