Low toner light comes on. BTW Brother printers WILL NOT PRINT when it thinks toner is low.
You have to reset the "flag" on the cartridge. Note that there are starter cartridges that you have to toss. They do not have the exposed flag gear on the right.

Go to 3/4 of the way through the video to see repositioning of the gear and flag gear. That is what really needs to be changed to "fool" the cartridge into working a bit while longer.
Toner light still comes on even with new toner cartridge.
Press GO button 7 times.
Toner light will still be on but you have sent an over ride command

Please do the following steps to reset the toner sensor.
- Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps.
- Turn the printer off.
- Hold the 'go' button (or "start' button) while turning the printer on. All panel lights should be on.
- Release the 'go' button (or "start' button).
- Press the 'go' button (or "start' button) 2 times.
- Pause. All panel lights should be on.
- Press the 'go' button (or "start' button) 5 times.
The toner light should be off. (error may be flashing)
The paper light should be on or flashing.
- Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
