fis timing on mac os platform

I'm new to the timing world, have been asked to pick up the peices and put together a timing system that is FIS ski race legal I have apple laptops but have not seen or heard anyone using them. Will they work or is it more trouble any its worth

The USSA/FIS software runs on Windows only. You'll need to setup Windows using dual-boot or a virtual machine to time. You'll also need some usb-rs232 adapters to connect to the timer.
