Many thanks to all of the hands that make it possible to run a Microgate uGraph with both FinishLynx and netBoards. With netBoards you can make a custom reader board using the uGraph showing all sorts of information. I use netBoards to turn the uGraph into a lap board. It is huge and the cyclists can't miss it. I then use netBoards to create a sequence of layouts for the uGraph combining sponsorship advertisement layouts with the schedule of events for a race and so forth.
The FinishLynx integration is the best part. I can run my FinishLynx for a track meet (running) showing the race time on the uGraph including scrolling through the results then immediately switch over to netBoards and show custom layouts for field events and other layouts. I almost wanna get a MicroTAB and use that for a running time clock so I can use the uGraph for more scoreboard and netBoards features.
Having WiFi capability for the uGraph is a bonus. I can set up the uGraph on the infield of a track facility running off its internal battery and WiFi when there is no infield power or ethernet connection. Armed with a 16 dBi gain WiFi antenna helps too. You can use a secured WiFi network with the uGraph. There is a spot to enter in your network key into the uGraph protecting others from disrupting your connection.
My only complaint is netBoards nor FinishLynx has a countdown feature. So if you are running a criterium for a bicycle race and you want to use the uGraph as both a countdown clock and as a lap board through netBoards, you have to switch between the Countdown internal programming on the uGraph to the Base Program to use netBoards. If netBoards had a countdown feature then you could throw the uGraph up on a truss out of reach and do essentially anything you want with it.
