e also need some backup connector wires from our electric eyes to our finish plugs. And, I want to redo the receptacles at the finish line. The banana jacks are exposed to the weather now, and are also not the deep-well type. Wonder if you have anything that plugs into the finish eye at one end and has some kind of mil-spec weather-resistant connector at the other end?

The problem with multipin plugs outside is always vexing. It is my experience that audio style XLR plugs do not work any better than the ALGE DIN plugs. The only "timing" plugs that really work well in super harsh enviornments are the 4 pin Amphenol plugs that ALGE and our scoreboards use. We have panel mounts and plugs that can be used with 4 connectors. The other option is to use Hubbel twist locks. I would not use anything that could be confused with AC power however. You
can eliminate the issue all toghether by using banana plugs and the internal batteries in the cells. Most of our clients that use chemicals for course prep have moved to that. We use either banana plugs made by Hirschmann in Germany or POMONA in the US. Don't bother with any other brand.
