We are looking for the most reliable and efficient timing system for MTB Downhill. Base on the experience, we would appreciate if anyone can tell us the best solution for that.

I have used both ALGE and TagHuer and the difference will come down to personal preference. I prefer ALGE TDC8001 wired as my primary system. I have been timing DH MTB events in Australia for 16+yrs.
Summit timing can provide a cost effective wireless solution. I haven't used it in anger but tested with the system and it seemed quite functional.

We know of a couple of customers using Summit timers but the range seems to be limited. You also need to use two timers one at the start and one at the finish.
