Disposable chip detection

I would like to compare between side antenna and mat, which one is more reliable for signal detection?
For example, Jaguar system and Mylaps Bibtag system are using different type of detection at the finish line, which one is practical and more accurate?

Same question, witch is better? My Laps bibtag or Ipico? for 3k, 5k races, i am waiting to buy one system and I am not decide.

I have the Ipico system; last year my "missed reads" with the disposable tags was around 1 in 200 (half of a percent). This year, with three races completed, no missed reads.
