The TIMY has an adjustable delay setting that will allow you to customize it for use with different sports. Auto racing and Equestrian should use long delays because of the opportunity for multiple splits being taken for the front and back of the car or horse. This is particularily bothersome with LAPTIMER as it resets and you get two times for the car that you have to add together.
ADJUSTING THE DELAY
1) Start the TIMY and get it running in the Laptimer (or other) program
2) Press the Menu Key (stack of disks)
3) Press the down arrow until the “channels” option is highlighted
4) Press the green OK key
5) Press the Green OK key to open the Start option
6) Increase the delay to 02.00 (2 seconds)
7) Press the down arrow to highlight the C1-C8 option
8) Press the green OK key to open the C1 option
9) Increase the delay to 02.00 (2 seconds)
10) Press green OK to save
11) Press the left arrow 3 times to exit back to timing
Note: The photocell can be adjusted too. The adjustment is a hole just to the right of the battery door. All the way clockwise increases the delay to 2 seconds.
