Check out this groovy Phoenix GAZ display in a flight case on the referee's stand in Moscow at World Cup.
The huge Swiss Timing scoreboards here were installed for the 1980 Olympics and haven't been maintained, so they don't work. At all. The Fred brought this Phoenix Display as checked luggage, and it is serving as the main scoreboard display for the entire stadium.
Also up on the stand is a FinishLynx digital photofinish camera. For this World Cup, Moscow Velo Stadium's Omega photofinish cameras have been relegated to the trash can.
Note to self - when in Moscow, all Russians understand two words: "Americanski" and "Photo-finish"
