We're using RadioLynx and can use it through the connection box on one of our systems, but the connection box choice is grayed out on our other system. To work around it, we simply use a long serial cable and the "Camera Back" connection choice to get the distance we need between antenna and camera. We would like to get the connection box working though. Any thoughts?

is the "other system" a 2nd camera on the same system or a backup camera on an isolated system?

The camera properties of each should show a connection box if one is attached. I've never tried using the com port on a 2 camera system but it should show up as whatever name you have assigned to them. Restart the software after each change of course.
The older models of the Lynx camera will only work with the connection box. Though the new ones do not. I had a conversation with Lynx about a year ago and they said that for the new cameras, the connection box is mainly for scoreboards, photocells, and wired starts. You have to use Camera Back for the new ones. If you have fans on the bottom of the camera then it is a newer model.
If it is only working with the serial cable then the wireless is not working. If you have the red tipped sensors they are specifically normally open. Make sure in the inputs tab the norm. open button is selected. The manual says select none but kept getting the message that one of the sensors failed to arm. Under serial wireless select on then select start sensor. See if that works.
The radio that Lynx uses supplied by MicroGate will not work with NC sensors or even the "old" lynx NO sensor. The choice of NO-NC you are talking about is for hard wired transducers. If you are using the radio only you really should be selecting the none option. When you select the Open setting the sub routine that checks that a wired NC sensor is present is turned off which stopped the failed to arm message.
