What is the recommendations for controlling the timing on a scoreboard, Virtual Photo Eye or photocells? We are planning to get a scoreboard for our equipment and need to chose one of those.
real photo cells are best, if there are people using flash cameras near the finish the virtual Photo eye treats the flash as a body and will post fast times. P.S. did you get the wind gauge to work with the finish Lynx?
should add that for convenience the virtual cell are so much easier to work with, you don't need to worry about a the aiming of the beams or people accidentally moving the reflectors or transmitter during the meet. If you are running a primary and back up system using the virtual for actual capture and the photo cells for the display clock on the back up.
