Hi
New to this forum and the Timy stable. Club purchased Timy last year but have problems getting data in goo format, what is best software- used for Slalom skiing.
As someone else mentioned, is there an english version of the software updates.
How can i get it to calculate elapsed time start to finish, my brain finds it hard to add up.
We use the timy with Alge start wand and light beam finish.

To update your Timy to the latest firmware revision, go here

http://www.alge-timing.com/alge-e.htm

and download the Installation Manager (it is in English). Then download the latest firmware update from the same page. (Flash update V04.24 from 2004-02-13)

You'll need a full-duplex serial cable customized for the Timy, you almost surely already have one, if you can log Timy TODs on your PC.

Hook up the Timy to your PC using the aforementioned cable, run the Installation Manager, click the FIRMWARE tab, and follow the directions onscreen.

You should not have to use your brain to calculate the elapsed time since the Timy can do it for you. Make sure you are using either the STOPWATCH or STOPWACTH LITE programs that are preloaded on the TIMY itself. Only use the BACKUP program if you have software on your PC that will do the calculations for you.

In order to activate the STOPWATCH program you will probably have to contact your supplier to obtain a software activation code and instructions on how to activate it.

As far as obtaining racing software to run the TIMY there are many variations available some free some not so free but many are referenced on this site. I have been using dTris and Measures from MEC Consulting Ltd for many years. They can be reached at rbeare@shaw.ca .
