We just got new computers that do not have serial ports, and I cannot get the Timy to communicate with Split Second. We are running Windows XP Pro, Split Second 6.2 Rev 1, and timing is enabled. I connected the Timy and turned it on, loaded the "Timy and Timy 2 USB driver V2.50" from Alge, and confirmed it was loaded in Device Manager. Windows popup confirmed new hardware was installed and ready to use. Then, I went to Split Second Setup and test, selected the USB input and selected the Alge Timy as the timer. The setup screen indicates that Timy is not connected, and the Timy Control screen says Timy USB may not have been installed. When I click Open on the Timy Control screen, I get an Access Violation. I have tried this on three computers with the same result every time. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
