Michael Lynch of Times-7 demonstrated the "Wheeltime" passive tag transponder system to Phoenix Sports and Finish Lynx on August 21st. The weekly race series was ideal for testing as over 120 riders competed in a points race format. 10 sprints were contested,

This system uses the mats to transmit power to excite the passive tags. The side mounted antennas pick up the signals.

The read rate matched the data collected by the 5L400 camera at the line.
