The Hillberg Ski Area on Elmendorf AFB, Alaska has a Reliable Racing IIs Timer, and currently race times are recorded on a timesheet and then manually entered in a spreadsheet. Not exactly an efficient method of scoring.

I contacted Reliable Racing via email, and they informed me that they stopped supporting the timer a few years back. They also had no knowledge of what software would work with the timer, or copies of the race management software specifically written for the timer by JEMS Computing (Cat. #62650).

The timer does have an RS232 output, and I was wondering if any current programs might support the timer. Since the timer still works well for timing small children, hill management is unwilling to upgrade at this time.
Thanks for any help you can give us.

We have a IIs as well but retired it (club uses it for training occasionally). I have looked at most software that is available and have never seen any program that support it as a time base. You might try the alge com to file program or windows hyperterminal and see what it sends out. Most likely you are better off recording by hand as you would not receive any bib information from the clock. You can use Split Second software (without a key for free) and manually enter times there utilizing the RA features to create start lists etc. After times are entered to each competitor use it to print results. A better option is to scrap that thing and talk to PST about used timer options. Last time I checked Fred still had used S3 timers for good prices!
