Try the program called TT*ware that you can download from the PST site or direct from this link.

This program is $1500.00 and entitles you to become an active member of the team. The software requires a dongle and the software to install it. Developed as a powerful "live" timing engine for time trial type events. It can handle an almost unlimited number of competitors with up to four runs. It will handle up to 8 intermediate points. Runs with all major timers but the ALGE TIMY is the preferred device today.
RunScore seems to work best in DOS although it is a bit cumbersome. The Windows version is still a bit tweaky. Try SplitSecond and use the XC pursuit function. As long as you aren't doing more than two legs, you can fudge it enough to get it to work.

We've developed a simple export from SST to generate Stage type results using Access. It worked great when we timed a 12 hour race where we counted each lap as a leg.

Runscore will not handle laps but is very powerful but not super friendly. It can also handle a HUGE field (forget the size but well over 1500) and many classes. TTware is limited to 500 athletes and 30 classes and cannot handle laps, but does have intermediate times available. This is hard to use for laps unless you have different chutes for the different laps. Elder has stuff out there that is useful for some events too. Fact is there is not enough stuff out there and you will end up using different software for different events based on their nature. Most softwares have demo versions so try before you buy.
Try www.TheRaceDirector.com Roger Bradshaw has developed a running/tri/mtb program that is light years ahead of Runscore ( possibly the most user-abuse piece of software I have ever seen). No effective limit on the number of competitors, does multiple laps as well as multi-event sports ( up to 5 legs ) and interfaces with the ChampionChip transponders. We use it for all sorts of non-alpine skiing stuff. Not great for time trial events. TTware much better for those.
