Do you have any instructions on how to connect (and make work) the Alge RLS1c photocell with FinishLynx? (Ingrid found/borrowed an Alge RLS1c photocell. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it work with the FinishLynx system. It has a 3-core connector (similar to the FinishLynx gun cables), and the Alge documentation indicates it is to get its power from the timing device, but when I tried to use a FinishLynx Y-plug, I was unable to get any needle movement from the Alge, and the gun sensor would not arm.)

The ALGE photocell in question is probably an older unit without the modern on/off switch and banana plug outputs. The 3 wires are for 6 + volts into the cell (greater voltage will blow the circuit!) on pin 5, Common ground on pin 3, Signal out from the cell on pin 2. Take the little screw out and pull back the shell to reveal
the pin numbers. You must solder a jumper from pin 3 to the metal strain relief in order to make the internal battery work. There is a small hole located on the strain relief to solder to. You then disregard the pin 5 power line and insert ground and signal into the Lynx "C" box photocell inputs, red signal-pin 2, black ground-pin 3

The cell should line up and the meter should be solidly in the green when the Din plug with soldered jumper inserted in the back and a fresh battery is in the side. The meter will move slightly into the grey field when a battery is active but the cell is not aligned. The meter should jump as you wave your hand in front of it.
