Why does the start delay not work on my Alge S4 RS-232 output and printer output, running in the time of day mode?

We use an old Alge start wand that produces a start pulse upon opening and another upon closing when connected to a TagHeuer radio transmitter in a wireless configuration. It does not give double starts when wire is connecting the start with the AlgeS4.

I changed the start delay up to 9 seconds and I still get a start upon opening , then closing, and if the starter is really good, we can get some switch bounce to give a half dozen starts.

Does my timer need to come back for repair?

S4 timers set in HP mode (program 3) regard all channels as equal. The DF setting (normally finish only) controls all of the channels. The beep will extend based of the setting as well. You only changed the DS (start) setting that is not active in Program 3. Change the DF to a higher setting and that should solve your problem.
