Hi & Season's Greetings, Gunstock is going back with Nastar this year. One of the features is that you get a laptop computer that can interface with timers. Do you
have any experience with people using the Nastar program with the Alge S4?
We've got the timer talking to the computer OK for everything except one critical area: starts. You can look at the ASCII codes and data coming in, and nothing
comes in when you have a 'start'. That's no matter how you start: manual button press, or via the jacks in the rear.
Strangely enough, although the 'start' doesn't come through, the 'finish' does, although it is interpreted as a start. Don't think that we have stuff in backwards. We are
working in Program 0. Should we be in one of the other 6 options? Note that we are only doing single course operation, for now. Maybe it should be Program
1--will try tomorrow.
We'll continue to work on it tomorrow, and can manually enter times if needed, but it would sure be nice to get away from that. The actual number data that comes
through is OK, other than the failure to start.
Think that we've got the baud rate, etc. OK, as they do 'talk' to each other.
You can either E-Mail us, or call at Gunstock: 603-293-4341, ext. 168. We also have a FAX number: 603-293-4318
