The 2011 edition of the tour highlighted in presence of the MATSPORT timing team from France. ASO, the producers of the Tour de France is now responsible for the global (except for Versus) broadcast of race. MATSPORT has a global relationship with ASO which allowed seasoned technicians to travel to the US. Phoenix Sports provided logistics support and equipment to the effort.
