Had a similar phenomenon with a HL980. I was shure that the software was not the one to blame. Turned out that it was a faulty COM-server (RS232-ETH-converter that I use as it is hard to find laptops with those kind of interface) that caused the wrong or missing signs. How is your D-line connected to the PC?
