For live timing yes, you can link directly to Orbits without having to use the internet, using an unsupported app from Mylaps’s called Rmonitor.

we have been using a local lan using a PTMP bridge to put timing screens for the commentators, hospitality units and the work area for the mechanics for around 20 years. We have also used this to drive a big screen as well. All without having an internet connection

thank you
We just want to show the rankings on the big screen

If so, if you purchase Mylaps Rmonitor

Are you saying it will happen?

Rmonitor was the original Client software for Orbits from a Mylaps forerunner company called "Track Timing" - you cannot buy it anymore. Mylaps want you to use Announcer, but it isnt as flexible as Rmonitor

you can find the user guide here http://www.stat-timing.com/amb...nitor_Manual_3.1.pdf

and the protocol from Orbits here https://github.com/bradfier/rm...iming%20Protocol.pdf - you need to turn on the local App feed and the connection is to the orbits computer using port 60000 for Orbits5, or 50000 for Orbits4

This site apparently lets you download, but i dont know if i trust it or not. https://rmonitor.software.informer.com/

i have been using this software for 20 years

This is an example of how we configured it to drive a big screen

and this is the kind of display we give to commentators or put in the mechanics work area
