The TDF is timed by MATSPORT

The TV graphics and results are done by a company named MPlus from Paris.

Note:

51pegasi acquires MPlus

51pegasi, a sports software provider, has acquired MPlus, a French 2m euros sports result management company enjoying prestigious multi-year contracts which include the Tour de France, the Paris Marathon and the international cycling event Paris-Nice. 51pegasi will benefit from the expertise of MPlus and its detailed knowledge of the sport media networks to enhance the company’s software solutions. 51pegasi will also draw on MPlus’ extensive network of industry partners to market its complete packaged sport software offering which caters to sport events, sport governing bodies and media companies alike.

Unofficial timing is done with AMB tranponders. 3 Lynx 5l300 cameras are used at the line. 2 on either side for results and 1 camera just for the TV image.

Time trials are started and finshed by using ALGE Rls1n photocells in the start ramp circle (look for the lens right at the axle height on some of the cyclngnews photos from yesterday). The finish cell is inside an Aquarel bottle.
Timing is ALGE TDC 8000 at the finish and MicroGate REI2 at the intemeadiate points with TT*ware.

There should be some Adaptive LED displays in use this year in addition to the ALGE GAZ4 displays.
I do not believe that OLN is willing to use the French graphics package because it doesn't fit their "look". Pity. Everybody in the rest of the world gets it. The TDF is different than every other major TV production. There is no "host" broadcaster. Every TV company has to bring their own truck etc. Very inefficient but extremely profitable for ASO and the TDF producers.
