I am interested in purchasing the TT add-in, but I am unsure if it can do the job I would like to use it for.
I would like it to time head races of boats , using radio lynx at start and 6 - 8 min later time using the camera and once I have received the start sequence of boats assign it to the start time received from radio lynx. Is this possible?

Yes, that could work. You may need the extended range radiolynx unit depending on distance. Also for most water related events better cameras with taller sensors are used. Depending on your distance from the actual finish, you may be okay because it will be a narrower finish line, but test your setup and lens!

There are some people very experienced in this type of work.

If you have more questions feel free to contact me and I'll see if I can help.
Many Thanks for the reply, I am at present using extended range transmitters. The c-mount lens (rowing Silver package ) , My distance is 2km, and yes it is sometimes difficult to get good images, glare can be trying.AT present I only time even start races. SO my concern was that will the finish lynx software allow me to capture the starting position in to the time trail add-in after I have captured/Assigned the finish to each boat.
Are you "scoring" the race yourself or using software for that purpose i.e. Regatta Master?
The head race (600+ boats) I help with, we use a camera at the start and one at the finish. They export the times (time of day) into Regatta Master; RM then compiles, keeps track of the classes, etc. Regatta Master also creates the start list for FinishLynx. RM also has back up systems available as the Rowing community is very much adamant about secondary and even tertiary systems for back up. Our "system" consists of exporting/uploading the time from each location to a server through wireless internet (hot-spots).
Yes iam using regatta master 2007 not 2012,reason is the web upload is easy for us here in south africa. I have made a request for a 2nd lynxcamera but that is still with the fund givers to decide. We have about 450 boats in a head race of 2000m and 360 over 1000 so it is a quick dash and i need to get times out quckly and progress boats from head race to semi finals and then finals. I was hoping time trial addin would allow me to do this just using one camera and start bow numbers being captured after race has been completed.
If you can find a way to get the data quickly/real time; you can get by without that second camera by using Regatta Master Timer for the start. It is a free download from Steve Jensen as long as you are using Regatta Master for the Regatta. It is a good program, we use it as our secondary timing system (primary backup) and for splits. I believe the current version of RM Timer has a built in syncing capability which uploads to your server/primary computer every-time you save the file (i.e. every time a boat starts) Now... you just need that real time or near real time connection. Wi-Fi (hot spot through a cell phone/ipad or a stand alone hot spot device)? Here in the USA, most of the cell phone companies can either get your cellphone to be a hotspot or have stand-alone devices. If that is an option, see if they would be willing to donate what you need for the day in exchange for allowing them to put banners up or have a booth present to sell their services.
