As the holidays have passed, I have not had a chance to create the instructinos for how I set-up the 520 with SST USSA?FIS Software version 3.05 but will over the next couple days. I will say, I never read the instruction mannuel, and just did what intuitively a "Tag Geek" like me would do when you get a Tag product in your

The following is the instructions for interfacing with the USSA Timing and Scoring Software by Split Second Timing as written by Mark Landau. If they are wrong, heh, blame him, if they are correct, I take full credit (of course). Seriously, if they don't work for you, let me know, and I will take he time to post what I did to get mine working:

FIS Codex #: TAG.001.01

On power up you will see a print out of the devices default parameters. Upon review of these parameters you will see a setting for “OUTPUT”. Check to see if that says, “PC” or “DISPLAY”.

If it says “PC”, you are ready to go with the software. Go to SET UP/TEST in the software and select the CP705/520 and your corresponding communications port.

If it says “DISPLAY”, please continue with these instructions.

Before you enter your time for synchronization or begin to fill out your timing worksheet, is the best time to set up your timer. Once this change is made, it will be the new default.

1. Press “F”
2. Scroll down to “PARAMETERS”, Press # to select. (Using the green arrows to scroll)
3. Scroll down to “OUTPUT”, Press # to select.
4. Select “PC” by pressing the Green arrows until the arrow is on “PC” and press # to select your choice.
5. You will return to where you were before you pressed “F”.

That’s it. Simple. Any further questions, please contact Mark Landau, RRS Timing Department. (800) 274-6815 Ext.: 225
