Geoff,
I have one race file with two race codes (female = N0679; male = N0680). When I use the Send SkiData File and save to C:, I get only one hard copy text doc (N0680 Hard Copy Text Document). The problem is that when I do the same with the women competitors, it overwrites the hard copy text doc file with the womens' results. It doesn't create a hard copy file with the name N0679. Thoughts?

Thanks

First question, do you have men and women on the same screen when you set up your race? If you do, therein lies your problem. In USSA/FIS, you can only have one sex per race. The hint on this is look at the very bottom of your screen - it should say 'Male Competitors' which is the SST default. To get it to change to 'Women' just click on the word 'Male' and your women's race file will appear.

Next questions...Is it empty? Are there any competitors? Any times? If there are, let me know 'cause something else is amiss. If there aren't, you simply did not create a men's and women's race.

This can be tough to remember, especially in non-scored races 'cause we typically will run J6 Girls, then J6 men and so on. We think they are running in one race, but it's really two!
Thanks for the response. I have one race file but the competitors are separated by sex. When I switch to the men competitors, the header tab is showing USSA code N0680. I switch to the woman and the USSA code is N0679. BUT when I hit the Send SkiData Files button (from the women competitor screen), the hard copy text doc is named "N0680 Hard Copy.txt" but has the women competitors.
OK, cool, now I'm with you.

You have to hit the Send Ski Data button when you are in both sexes. So send it first for the men, click on women, and send ski data again.

SST won't send both automatically because there are times when you are only racing one sex and not the other.

Hope this helps!
Well here is what I just found. If you Send SkiData File while in the men AND choose to save it to Specify a Path, the correct file name gets generated with the men competitors in the file. If you change to women, hit the Send SkiData File, you must click a different choice (i.e., email, save to floppy, Specify a Path) from what was there previously and THEN reselect the Specify a Path choice. Then the name will get generated as N0679 and the women will be in the file.
Oh, I just thought of this...

One way to test this, is just send both race files to yourself. Add yourself to the email list, but don't send it to anyone else. That way, you can actually see the Text and .xml files that are generated for each race.

I usually do this anyway just to make sure that my email server is up and running.
This has been a known bug for the past 3-4 years.

After you created the SkiData file for 1 sex and save to your hard drive (we have to do this because of our firewall we can't send from the software), just close the software, re-open, go the th appropriate sex (other sex from one above), and create the file the same way, saving to wherever you would like.

Problem solved.
Not many people deal with this, so Geoff has not fixed the problem
