problem with Tag Heuer CP 540.

A firmware update via the RS232 cable may solve your problem:

Remove the batteries.
Push the reset around 20 times.
Replace the batteries.
Push the reset once.
Turn on. (repeat if needed).

If the reset procedure don't work.
Let the CP540 over the night without batteries.
And try again later. This will empty all caps inside.

A new version for the CP540 is available.
All Chronoprinter 540 with the version D.04 should be updated immediately in order to prevent boot problems.
We've also got a bunch of little bug fixes and changes that should make your Timing experience better.

Sorry I missed this yesterday. I gather you tried the suggestions from other members.

The suggestion of updating the flash memory from Marcus makes perfect sense.

Leaving the timer on without the batteries overnight or for 10 or so hours drains any residual power (and therefore memory) from the device.

The version D.05 is now available (even a special Jumping feature on another firmware).

Please note that all CP540's running on version C.02 and below should update the bootloader before loading recent versions.

If it didn’t work even after resetting, I advise you to perform a firmware update via the RS232 cable. This should make it work perfectly. I had this problem but mine worked well after resetting. Thank you! Hope this helps!
