Noticed the 2012 Olympic track and field finish has a shiny toy I haven't seen before.
There's a red box on the ground on the each side of the finish opposite their cameras.
It appeared at first to be flashing like a mirror until I saw it in slow motion.
They have a roll of paper inside with a motor driving it to provide a 'banner' background for OMEGA on all the still finish camera images.

This "banner-box" will be used often if swiss-timing is handling dataservice and timing.

Mostly, there is only their logo shown, but on lager events, also the competition logo...

For example here a picture from last years European Championships:

I was thinking more than once about building such a unit by myself - but it remains in "planing" ;-)

Ah - I was wondering, why this box is that tiny...

And - about your Picture (and the ones, omega released at the Olympics): Why is there no timeline at the pictures? Is this cut of by default?
