Hello All -
I rarely drive a scoreboard directly from a timer. I'm all too familiar with all the ins and outs of driving from a computer...

I'm trying to drive one (or maybe two, not three) GAZ4s from an S4 in program 4 (parallelslalom/differential w/net times). I have a din to bn plug cord. I set the wheel(s) to 1 for the differential (and 3 to see if I got one net time). I drove them with a computer serial port cable today, so the displays are working.

No luck yet. After reading up, I'm wondering if I need to check the baud rate on the S4? Wrong cord? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Remember that you have to have the toggle switch set on "C" prior to starting up Program 4 so that it recognizes that you want to send the data to the 3 displays.

Then you have to activate the "addresses" of the displays.

In the manual it is section 2.6.5 on page 20 or thereabouts depending on what manual version you have.

This section deals with activating the address.

You basically scroll around the menu by depressing the right hand toggle until.

LF CH1-2 appears

Then you press the toggle switch up and the display changes to

LF ACH1-2 showing that the output is active.

You have to do this everytime you turn the timer on in this mode.

Your GAZ addresses (or corresponding dline)

AD 1 = Red
AD 2 = Blue
AD 3 = Differential
