I have written a Palm OS program called "TimingUtils for Palm OS" and posted it on my web site. It is free to customers of Precision Timing and Phoenix Sports Technology.
It will run on any device running Palm OS 3.1 or higher (Palm, Handspring, HandEra, TRG, SONY Clie, IBM Workpad, Symbol). It features a Net Time Calculator, which is very useful for those "oh shit!" situations we all find ourselves in occasionally in the timing shack. If you've got a serial cradle or serial cable for your Palm device, TimingUtils also has several ALGE GAZ control and diagnostic programs to help you run or set up data communications to your GAZ displays. Fred Patton can sell you an adapter which will turn your Palm cable or cradle into a GAZ cable.
Fred reports he has been having great success using TimingUtils on his Palm V to run GAZ displays in for repair at his workshop.

There is a HELP page accessible from the TimingUtils menu. HELP contains pinouts if you want to build your own GAZ cable.
