Several ideas are popping up around using high brightness airport and commercial type TVs to show Live Timing and do away with the "manual scoreboard.

Now somebody needs to come up with a clean way to scan or take photos of the referee report , DQ list etc. and post them.

Very nice mock up and I see that you put focus on the relevant things: brightness, brightness, brightness. We learned this the hard way and use from now on forward only commercial displays for outdoor as they have more than the 300 nits of PC-monitors or TV-screens. We applied anti-glare-foil on the outside which makes those people happy who still takes photographs of the results screen (despite us yelling at them that all results are online too).
By the way, our setup is built-in a 19" rackcase inlcuding Ubiquiti Nanostation and a small PC.
