I had same problem with this message in this weekend. The US Finishlynx helped me with this idea:
- 1.Remove screws on front panel and remove front of camera. Disconnect the three ribbon cables behind the Front Plate.
- 2.Remove screws on back panel
- 3.Slide camera out of the enclosure
- 4.Remove DC harness clean contacts with lubricant contact cleaner. Removing and inserting the harness many times may clean the contacts by itself even without contact cleaner.
- 5.Reassemble camera in reverse order
This steps helped me. Now just the Radiolynx doesn't work...
I can't comment on the wisdom of disassembling and reassembling as suggested. It scares me a bit :-). I do know that when RadioLynx has quit working we check to see if the pins for it on the serial jack have become "depressed" or sunk in. We have had to disassemble the C-Box and carefully push them back up before. Now with the 2000+ the serial jack is on the camera. So that is the first thing to check I suspect. Are those pins depressed?
Firstly, when I heard the idea (about disassembling, I got a document-draft about this from offical Finishlynx support, - Thank you, Rich), It scares me too. But it works... Is it worth a try...
Our Radiolynx problem perhaps will others. Our Radiolynx is very new, we used just twice (from January), The C-box serial jack is OK, the decradio-cable too,. The software setup (I think) is OK, I made the steps of quick start guide. The Encradio is works and sends start-signal. I have no idea why goes off after camera-problem.
