Shooting into a rising sun. Can't move. Line and lanes are beautiful but numbers and backboard are in the shadows. Hip numbers dark and outside lane getting lost in backboard shadow. Any tips???
Whites are very white and shadows are very dark.
Reducing brightness just makes shadows darker... any lighter and we loose our lanes.

using FinishLynx 2000 with the upgrade 2000 fps.

In order for the light to be coming from behind the subject, the sun has to be lower in the sky. When the sun is high in the sky, its almost impossible to put the sun behind your subject because...well, no one is that tall! Shooting in the early morning or in the few hours before sun sets is the absolute best time to achieve backlit photos. Plus make sure the light you are using is a very good LED light.
