Replacement Wand for Microgate Start box

Hello,

I have MicroGate start gate/box. I need to replace the wand. Any suggestions? looking to do this on the cheap

was thinking of finding the write size bolt that threads in, then attaching some kind of rod...just don't know what kind.

Open to any suggestions, thanks!!
