DPU-414 burn some chip

Hi, i have a question, did even open DPU-414. Because i need some informaition from main board. In our printer total burn out some chip. But i can't see witch part is. In top of this chip is sign IC11. If you have information from this chip please tell me part number for this.

SEIKO DPU 414 dip switch settings

The SEIKO DPU414 is shipped from PST either set for S3, S4, or Data Logging with PC. The settings are almost all the same except the S4 is set for 40 columns of printing and the data logger for 80. The S3 set printer uses 7 stop bits where the S4 and data logger use 8. The DPU414 uses software programming. There are no switches. Programming: 1) Hold the "online" button down while turning the printer on. [dip switch setting mode] will print along with all of the settings already programmed.

dpu-411 and Alge S4

I use the 411 with an S4 or a TIMY. How do I set the dip switches in order to get a bib#, start time, finish time, and net time for each racer in case the time doesn't register in the computer software (SplitSecond/Ski Club). We will have two racers on course at the same time. Thanks for any help.

Martel MCP 9810 printer

The MARTEL MCP 9810 printer is a nice unit for data logging and general use with the S4 timer. It has an internal battery with charger. It uses the same 57mm (2.25") paper used by the TIMY, etc. It can connect right to a USB-Serial adapter for use with all popular software that provides timing data logging. It can print in either 24 (same as P5) or 48 characters per line. It has double hieght and double width capability. We have not had a chance to see if it will work directly with the TAG...

DPU-411 Dip Switches

Is there one dip switch setting that allows me to connect the DPU-411 directly to the S4 or to an Alge Opto-Data unit? Currently, I have to change dip switch settings, depending on how I'm connecting the printer.

Anyone have favourite settings for DPU - 414 and TT ware for logging using a timy. I have it working at 2400 baud and 40 colums but would like to use less paper. is a change to 80 colums all i need to change?

This weekend we were doing a 350 person corporate alpine race, three courses, two runs a day for two days. I usually use an S-4 with an 18 channel isolator/input box for backup. I just let it run unattended, with one person recording the bib numbers of each start group, and then they periodically put a bib number on the printed tape. My old DPU-411 failed about 20 minutes into the 1st run, not to return. I didn't have anything else handy, so I just plugged the RS-232 cable from the S-4 into...

Ok, I couldn't bear to pay over 800 clams for a T-H printer and got the seiko, seemed easyenough with an example in the ptb manual. BUT---She no worky.Got a seriel cable configured properly for the 414 and I did the dip switches as the manual suggested for the 411. Anyone out there allready been down this road? Seiko DPU-414 Printer

I am using an Alge Comet with a DPU-414. How can I get the DPU-414 to print manually entered bibs numbers with the start/finish time-of-day? The printer currently will only print 001, 002, 003, 004,....from start up. It will not print the start/finish time-of-day with manually entered bib numbers. Is this a problem with data entry on the Comet and/or programing in the DPU-414?

I asked this in the data thread but maybe it is more apropriate here. In a previous thread I see some people have unlocked the secrets of seiko printing stopwatches and computers. Has anyone ever tried to get a seiko stopwatch to talk to a serial printer that is not the specific one they sell specifically I own a DPU 414 and would like to get the watch to print to it instead of spending on another printer I don't expect to use more than once or twice a year. P5 printer (TIMY PXE too) fails to print after shipping

Paper inside the P5 and TIMY can loosen up during shipping. The expanded paper binds against the interior of the holder. It will not print when bound. Remove paper roll. Tighten it. Replace. Voila! Printing
