It seems like my photocells (through beams) are getting more difficult to align despite fresh batteries. Is there any explanation for this besides my advancing age? :-) Three of us were trying this weekend and it took us thirty minutes before we had them. We finally gave up on one cell and put a reflector on the far side. Should I get a laser level?

If it's getting worse, you might look at the threads on cleaning the photocells.

Laser levels work ok in certain light situations, but can be a pain for my old eyes when it's bright out. When it's really critical that I be dead-on, I'll use mine. Otherwise, I go with the meter (on my Alge) or the light (on my TAG).
