The MaxStream XPress ethernet bridge is an excellent solution to many on site networking and internet problems. This bridge is a point to point bridge with selectable 900MHz channels. Data transfer rate is 1.5 mbps.
We have been using it for a few events and it has worked beyond our expectations. Just plug it in and it works. They have an indoor and outdoor model. We are using the indoor model. With directional antennas it has a range of up to 15 miles. We haven't had the need fop the directional antennas yet and have tranmitted over a mile with the supplied 6" omni directional antennas. If you have the budget ($700 for the indoor model & $1000 for the outdoor model) It's worth the investment. http://www.maxstream.net/products/xpress/rf-modem-indoor-ethernet-bridge.php |

We have a set and have used them for TTware commentator screens over a mile away with great ease. No setup, plug and play.
FYI, they last about 40min powered with a 9v battery. Just wish they did not use such a crappy plastic case for $700.00. I would have expected a little better fit and finish for a product that cost that much. |
